Tennis Classes
Registration for Late Fall programs begins at 10 am:
- September 30 for residents
- October 7 for non-residents
We’re growing our program along with our young tennis pros by introducing USTA Junior Tennis standards! We’ll follow recommended ball compression and court sizes by age & skill group so you can progress at your own pace!
- RED BALL LEVEL – Larger ball, low bounce & slow travel. Court size 36’x18′. Used for Tiny Hitters (age 4), Little Hitters I & II (age 5-6).
- ORANGE BALL LEVEL – Larger ball, low bounce & fast travel. Court size 60’x21’. Used for Novice I & II* (Age 7-9).
- GREEN BALL LEVEL – Slightly reduced bounce. Court size 78’x27’. Used for Junior Int. I (Age 9-11).
- YELLOW BALL LEVEL – Standard ball. Court Size 78’x27’. Used for Junior Int. I (older students, Age 12-14) and Junior Int. II & III (Age 10-12).
*Novice II was formerly called Beginner.
About the Club
Wilmette Tennis Club has eight indoor tennis courts with state-of-the-art lighting and air conditioning, locker rooms and full-service Pro Shop which offers racquets, shoes, clothing and stringing. Outdoor courts are available at several Wilmette locations. Indoor play is by reservation and can be booked by a Tennis Member or non-member.

Membership Benefits
- Court availability is limited: Don't be shut out! Members may reserve open court time eight (8) days in advance.
- Members get first dibs on Permanent Court Time for the indoor season.
- Members enjoy year-round Tennis Pro Shop discounts: 10% on racquet purchases and 20% on shoes and clothing purchases.
Non-Members Miss Out!
- Non-members are limited to reserving open court time 24 hours in advance.
- Non-members pay in full for the court at the time of the reservation and cannot cancel.
- Non-members pay additional court time fees.
- Non-members do not enjoy Tennis Pro Shop discounts.
- Non-members playing on Permanent Court Time are subject to a guest fee.
Refunds
Membership privileges remain in effect until a refund request is submitted. Refunds will be granted based upon the following schedule:
- Requests received by September 1: Refund is the fee less 20%.
- Requests received after September 1 and before October 1: Refund is 50% of fee.
- No refunds will be issued after October 1.
